Georgetown Athletic Director Bernard Muir Announces Staff Changes

Dec. 16, 2005

Georgetown University Director of Athletics Bernard Muir announced several staff changes today.

Connie Isler, Georgetown's Acting Head Women's Golf Coach, will continue in that capacity through June. Connie, who recently qualified for the LPGA tour, took over the head coaching duties this fall. The search for a head coach will resume in late spring.

"We're fortunate to have someone of Connie's ability working with the Women's Golf Program" said Director Muir. "Her involvement insures that the program continues to compete at a high level as we search for a Head Coach."

Kyle Ragsdale has been named Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs. Kyle began working with the athletic department in December of 2004 as a consultant on various strategy and marketing initiatives and most recently as the Special Assistant to Bernard Muir for strategy and business development. As Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs, Kyle will oversee the areas of ticket sales, sponsorships, marketing and sports information. In addition, Kyle will assist in various business development and strategic initiatives as the department seeks to grow its operations.

Kyle brings nearly 18 years of diverse experience to Georgetown including various leadership positions in marketing and business development, management consulting and founding a venture backed sports technology firm (NASDAQ: AGTP). He received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Evangel University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University) in Chicago. He is also a CPA.

Pat McArdle has accepted a position as Executive Director for Athletic Relations. Pat, who created and maintains the "View from the Hilltop" blog on Georgetown's web page, has more than 30 years experience working for Georgetown University, his alma mater. Pat will report through the Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs.

Athletic Director Muir commented-"The Athletic Department's External Affairs office is in very capable hands. Experience, energy and devotion combine to make our External Affairs group an outstanding part of the Athletic Department."
