WASHINGTON - Georgetown University was tied for 17th in the nation in the NCAA's Graduation Success Rate (GSR) report on Division I student-athletes, released by the organization on Wednesday. Georgetown graduated 97 percent which is above the national average of 90 percent.

NCAA Graduation Success Rate (GSR)
- The GSR is based on student-athletes who entered college as freshmen in 2018 and allows for the removal of those individuals from who left Georgetown in good academic standing.
- Graduating 97 percent, the Hoyas are tied for fourth in the BIG EAST Conference with Creighton. Additionally, Georgetown tied for 17th in the nation.
- A total of 14 Hoya teams achieved a 100 percent GSR including baseball, men's lacrosse, men's soccer, men's swimming & diving, men's tennis, women's basketball, women's cross country/track & field, field hockey, women's golf, women's lacrosse, women's soccer, softball, women's tennis and volleyball.

NCAA Federal Graduation Rate (FGR)
- Georgetown freshmen scholarship athletes that enrolled in 2018 posted a four-year class average of 85 percent.
- This tied for 13th in the nation, and leads the BIG EAST.
- The FGR does not allow for the removal of those individuals who left GU in good academic standing, and only includes scholarship student-athletes.
