Georgetown Women's Basketball Hosts Appalachian St. on Saturday

Washington, D.C. -- After a season-long three-game road trip, the Hoyas return home for a single game against the Appalachian State Mountaineers on Saturday, December 3 at 3 p.m. The game can be seen and heard over the internet on www.guhoyas.com.

Georgetown, in the midst of playing three of their first ten games on the road, will look to rebound after a tough 68-62 overtime loss at Fordham. It was the first time GU had played into overtime in Head Coach Terri Wiliams-Flournoy's tenure.

Appalachian State (1-3) is coming off a 118-59 loss at No. 9 Maryland on Thursday.

Tip-Off Tidbits... ...Sophomore forward Kieraah Marlow's (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville) 27 points vs. Mt. St. Mary's is one of the five best scoring outputs by a BIG EAST player this season...

Kate Carlin Keeps `Em Close... Junior forward Kate Carlin (Ambler, Pa./Mt. St. Joseph's ) set new career-highs with 22 points, nine field goals and 41 minutes played at Fordham. The Ambler, Pa. native hit five field goals over a nine minute stretch in the second half as Georgetown clawed its way back from a nine-point deficit. Carlin ranks second on the team with 12.4 points per game and ranks third on the squad with 7.0 rebounds per game.
