EL PASO, Texas (AP) - Roy Hibbert made all eight of his shots and finished with 18 points in Georgetown's 61-45 victory against Colgate in the Sun Bowl tournament Tuesday night.
Hibbert, a 7-foot-2 sophomore, also had three blocks for the Hoyas (7-2), who will meet UTEP for the tournament title Wednesday. The Red Raiders (5-7) will play Mississippi Valley State in the consolation game.
Colgate trailed just 25-23 at halftime despite shooting 33 percent. The Red Raiders had five 3-pointers in the first half and finished 7-of-20 from long range. Kyle Roemer, Colgate's only player in double figures with 11 points, was 3-of-6 from 3-point range.
Jonathan Wallace started the second half with a pair of 3-pointers to give Georgetown a 31-23 lead, but Colgate cut its deficit to 38-37 with 12 minutes remaining.
Georgetown, which won its fourth straight since losing to No. 6 Illinois three weeks ago, answered with a 12-0 run to put the game away.
