WASHINGTON, DC - The Georgetown Hoya women's tennis squad made the short trip uptown to the American University courts Tuesday afternoon and returned to the Hilltop with a 7-0 victory when the day was done.

In the doubles competition, Georgetown scored wins at the #2 and #3 doubles matches to claim the team point awarded for the doubles competition. At #2 doubles Kristin Dew (Nashville, TN/Webb School) and Stephanie Cohen (Fayetteville, NY/DeWitt) posted an 8-5 win, while at #3 doubles Eileen Boyle (Burr Ridge, IL/St. Ignatius Prep) and Michelle DiCocco (Media, PA/Cardinal O'Hara) also won by an 8-5 score.

In singles, the Hoyas received wins from Adriann Gin (Honolulu, HI/Punahou School) and Liddy Bartell (Rancho Santa Fe, CA/Torrey Pines) as well as wins from Dew, Cohen, Boyle and DiCocco. At #1 singles Cohen won 6-2,6-3. At #2 singles Bartell won 6-0,6-2. At #3 singles Gin won 6-1,6-1. At #4 singles Dew won 7-6(2),6-1. At #5 singles Boyle won 6-0,6-3. At #6 singles DiCocco won 6-4,6-2.

The Hoyas continue with their fifth match in a row on the road when they travel to Fredericksburg, Virginia Wednesday, March 30, for a 3:30 p.m. match against the University of Mary Washington.
