WASHINGTON, DC - Georgetown women's soccer (5-1-1) travels to the Delaware Blue Hen adidas Classic in Newark, DE this weekend on Friday, September 16 and Sunday, September 18.

The Hoyas come off a 2-0 shutout over American University (2-5-0). Additionally, the hoyas won the 2005 Hoya Classic by defeating the Gaels of Iona 3-0 and the St. Joseph's Hawks 3-2. Junior midfielder Chrissy Skogen (San Marino, CA) scored four goals in the Hoya Classic, two in each game. Sophomore goalkeeper Jade Higgins (Island Park, NY) has three shutouts this year and 24 saves. Skogen and Higgins were both members of the 2005 All-Hoya Classic Team as well as junior Shante Cofield (Summit, NJ) and freshman Alex Gargano (Huntington, NY). Additionally, senior Captain Ashley Darcy (Coral Springs, FL) was the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending September 4.

The Hoyas take on Towson University (3-0-1) on Friday, September 16 at 5:00 p.m. and Delaware (2-1-2) on Sunday, September 18 at 2:00 p.m, both on the University of Delaware campus.
