Men's Lacrosse Announces Fall Schedule

Washington, D.C. - Georgetown University men's lacrosse coach Dave Urick announced the team's schedule for the upcoming Fall season.

The Hoyas, coming off a 10-5 season in which they advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the ninth-straight year, will play in a pair of tournaments.

The team kicks off the slate on Saturday, October 8, playing in the Genesee Valley Lacrosse Tournament in Parkton, Maryland. The Hoyas will play Bucknell at 11 a.m., Towson State at 1 p.m. and Colgate at 3 p.m. The tournament is off of Route 83, north of Baltimore.

The following week, the Hoyas will play in the Katrina Relief Fund Fall Men's Lacrosse Classic at the University of Maryland-Baltimore County on Saturday, October 15. Tickets for the event are $10 apiece, with all proceeds going to the Katrina Fund. Children under the age of six-years-old will admitted free. Georgetown will play Princeton at 2 p.m. and the then host UMBC at 4 p.m.

Georgetown is one of only two schools in the country (Johns Hopkins) to reach the NCAA Quarterfinals in each of the last four years and is one of only three schools (Johns Hopkins, Syracuse) to reach the NCAA Tournament in each of the last nine years.
