14 contests with opponents who appeared in post season tournaments highlight the 2005-2006 Georgetown University Men's Basketball schedule.

The Hoyas slate of national television appearances will begin on December 8 when the team travels to Illinois (37-2 NCAA) and are seen on ESPN. Georgetown's home game with Duke (27-6 NCAA) on January 21 will be broadcast on CBS. ESPN2 will broadcast 2 games from the MCI Center: January 28 vs. BIG EAST newcomer Cincinnati (25-8 NCAA) and February 9 vs St. John's. ESPN will air the February 16 contest at Marquette (19-12 NIT).

GU's home slate of BIG EAST opponents will begin January 5th with Providence and will include BIG EAST newcomer South Florida on January 17, Pittsburgh (20-9 NCAA) on February 5, West Virginia (24-11 NCAA) on February 12, Rutgers on February 22 and concludes when the Hoyas host Syracuse (27-7 NCAA) on February 25.

On the road the Hoyas will open BIG EAST play at St John's on December 8 and will travel to West Virginia (24-11 NCAA) on January 11, Connecticut (23-8 NCAA) on January 14, Notre Dame (17-12 NIT) on January 24th, DePaul (20-11 NIT) on January 31, Villanova (24-8 NCAA) on February 19 and will conclude at South Florida on March 4.

Georgetown's first home game will take place on November 26 when the Hoyas face Vanderbilt (20-11 NIT). The Hoyas also host the Fairfield on December 11. GU will open the season at Navy on November 18 and travel to James Madison on November 21.

This season Georgetown will participate in both the 2005 Hispanic Classic and the Sun Bowl Tournament. In the Hispanic Classic the Hoyas will travel to Oregon and will host both Stetson and Savannah State. At the Sun Bowl Tournament GU will face Colgate in the opening round and then either UTEP (27-8 NCAA)or Mississippi Valley State (19-13 NIT).

Once again this year, Georgetown games will be carried by WTEM with the "Voice of the Hoyas", Rich Chvotkin at the mike.
