Coach Thompson III and the 2006 Hoyas invite all former men's basketball players, managers, and coaches to a special alumni weekend to be held this Friday, January 27 through Saturday, January 28. All alumni of the men's basketball program are welcomed "home" to celebrate their accomplishments, and reminisce about their time on the Hilltop.
This year's events will take place in conjunction with the Hoyas game vs. Cincinnati at MCI Center. This Friday, January 27, Coach Thompson invites all alumni and their families back to campus for a reception at 7pm to be held at the newly renovated Robert and Bernice Wagner Alumni House at the corner of 36th and O Streets just outside the front gates of the University.
The weekend celebration will continue on Saturday, January 28 as Hoop Club Members and their families are invited to meet and honor basketball alumni at a brunch. This brunch will be held at the Rosa Mexicano Restaurant located at 575 7th at F Street, NW, Washington, DC and will begin at 10am. The celebration will then move across the street as all Hoop Club members, alumni, and families will watch the Hoyas take on the Cincinnati Bearcats at MCI Center for a noon tipoff.
