Washington, D.C. -- The Georgetown University women's basketball team (8-10, 1-6 BE) is looking to snap a season-long four-game losing streak when it hosts No. 10 Rutgers (14-3, 6-0 BE) on Saturday afternoon. The game can be seen live on www.guhoyas.com with Mike Vallancourt calling the action.

The Series...

Rutgers leads the all-time series with the Hoyas, 11-2 and RU has won the last four meetings. Georgetown is 0-7 vs the Scarlet Knights inside McDonough Arena.

Game Notes...

Senior Bethany LeSueur (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) ranks second on the team, averaging 12.8 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists. LeSueur transferred to the Hilltop after spending her freshman year at the University of Virginia. The Garden City, N.Y. native is now just the seventh player in Georgetown women's basketball history to surpass the 700-point, 200-assist and 400-rebound milestones. LeSueur set new career-highs with 24 points and ten free throws in the victory over Providence and LeSueur recorded her second double-double of the season (5th of her career) with 19 points and 11 rebounds vs Notre Dame. After her 13-point effort at Cincinnati on Wednesday, LeSueur went over the 800-point mark for her GU career.

The Hoyas have made at least ten free throws in eight of the last nine games and connected on 78 percent of their foul shots during the stretch. The Hoyas had made at least ten free throws in seven straight games before GU tallied 9-13 foul shots vs Notre Dame. In the last nine games, Georgetown has knocked down 159-203 from the stripe (78%) while their opponents have attempted just 118.

Sophomore forward Kieraah Marlow (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville) has tallied 20 or more points in five of the last nine games and notched three straight 20+ point efforts from December 28-January 4, the longest such stretch of her career. The Coatesville, Pa. native ranks ninth in the league, shooting 46.9 percent from the floor. In her last nine games, Marlow is averaging 18.6 points, on 46 percent shooting. She is shooting 88% from the foul line while grabbing 6.2 rebounds.

Sophomore point guard Kristin Heidloff (Chicago, Ill./Fenwick) ranks fourth in the BIG EAST with 4.4 assists per game. The Chicago, Ill. native notched her first career double-double with 13 points and career-high 11 assists in the win over American. Heidloff's 11 assists is the third best output by a BIG EAST player this season. The last time a Hoya dished out double-figure dimes was Nov. 11, 2004 when Mary Lisicky did it in a win over Delaware. Heidloff had already led the team in assists on ten occasions this year after accomplishing the feat ten times all of last season. Heidloff has a season-best 15 points last time out at Cincinnati.

Last Time Out...

Georgetown had three players in double figures but the Hoyas could not overcome a 26-point second half deficit in an 87-68 BIG EAST loss at Cincinnati on Wednesday.

Sophomore Kieraah Marlow recorded her 15th career double-double tallying a game-high 27 points to go along with 10 rebounds. Sophomore Kristin Heidloff collected a season-high 15 points, three assists and two steals while senior Bethany LeSueur scored 13 points and handed out seven assists, one shy of her career high.

The Hoyas trailed 65-39 with 12:17 left but the Hoyas held Cincinnati scoreless over the next five minutes as the Georgetown went on an 11-0 run, including six by LeSueur, to close to 65-50 with 7:48 remaining.

Georgetown would cut their deficit to 13 points, 66-53, at the 6:19 mark but that would be as close the Hoyas would get.
