Washington, D.C. - The Georgetown University women's basketball team (8-11, 1-7 BE) travels to Pittsburgh (13-6, 4-4 BE) Wednesday evening. The Hoyas are coming off a 65-51 loss to No. 10 Rutgers on Saturday afternoon.

Pittsburgh leads the all-time series, 23-19. The Hoyas have won six straight games here in Pittsburgh dating back to the 1996-97 season. In each of the last six meetings, the visiting team has been victorious.

---Sophomore point guard Kristin Heidloff ranks fourth in the BIG EAST with 4.3 assists per game. The Chicago, Ill. native notched her first career double-double with 13 points and career-high 11 assists in the win over American. Heidloff's 11 assists is the third best output by a BIG EAST player this season. The last time a Hoya dished out double-figure dimes was Nov. 11, 2004 when Mary Lisicky did it in a win over Delaware. Heidloff had already led the team in assists on eleven occasions this year after accomplishing the feat ten times all of last season. Heidloff made 7-14 three pointers last week and averaged 16.0 points. The Chicago native matched a season-high with 17 points vs. No. 10 Rutgers and matched a career-high with four treys.
---Georgetown has trailed at halftime in all seven of the BIG EAST losses with their lone halftime advantage coming in the win over Providence.
---GU is 7-0 when leading at halftime and the Hoyas have made 80% of their free throws in the last five minutes of games (76-85). As the team, Georgetown ranks third in the BIG EAST, shooting 72 percent from the stripe.
---The Hoyas have made at least ten free throws in nine of the last ten games and connected on 79 percent of their foul shots during the stretch. The Hoyas had made at least ten free throws in seven straight games before GU tallied 9-13 foul shots vs Notre Dame. In the last ten games, Georgetown has knocked down 174-220 from the stripe (79%) while their opponents have attempted just 134.
---Sophomore forward Kieraah Marlow (16.3 pts/g, 44% FG, 7.3 reb/g) has tallied 20 or more points in five of the last ten games (7 this season) and notched three straight 20+ point efforts from December 28-January 4, the longest such stretch of her career. Marlow, who was named to the All-BIG EAST Rookie Team a year ago, ranks seventh in the BIG EAST with 16.3 points per game and while ranking tenth in the league, shooting 44.7 percent from the floor.
---Senior Bethany LeSueur ranks second on the team, averaging 12.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists. After transferring to the Hilltop after spending her freshman year at the University of Virginia, the Garden City, N.Y. native is now just the seventh player in Georgetown women's basketball history to surpass the 800-point, 200-assist and 400-rebound milestones. LeSueur set new career-highs with 24 points and ten free throws in the victory over Providence and LeSueur recorded her second double-double of the season (5th of her career) with 19 points and 11 rebounds vs Notre Dame.
---After scoring in double figures in two of the first six games, freshman Katrina Wheeler has scored in double figures in five of the last ten games. Wheeler was named BIG EAST Rookie of the Week on January 3 after averaging 14.5 points and 10.5 rebounds in victories over Florida Atlantic and Clemson. The 6-4 McDonald's All-American averages 9.8 points and ranks sixth in the BIG EAST with 8.6 rebounds. Wheeler is tied for fourth in the BIG EAST with six season double-doubles.
--Georgetown outrebounded Rutgers, 34-31 on Saturday. It was just the second time in the last nine game the Hoyas have grabbed more rebounds than their opponent.
--The Hoyas have been plagued by long scoring droughts in five different games this season, all losses. In losses to Kentucky (12 min.in the second half), Connecticut (11 min in 1st half), St. John's (12:30 in 1st half), West Virginia (14:44 in 2nd half) and Rutgers (7 min. in 1st half), GU has been within striking distance before disapperance of points has doomed the team's chances.
