"We were very excited to have such great performances today, especially after one of the toughest weeks of training all year" Georgetown University Head Coach Bethany Bower said. "The student-athletes are excited as they look forward to a week of less yardage in the pool as we prepare for the Patriot Invite. Highlights included O'Connor taking more than four seconds off her personal best in the 200 backstroke and qualifying for the conference championships as well as Alito coming in just two-tenths shy of our school record in the 100 fly."
Georgetown returns to the water next weekend when they swim at the Patriot Invitational, hosted by George Mason in Fairfax, Va. The Invitational is a three-day event and will start on Friday, November 17.
