Washington, D.C. - The Georgetown sailing team finished in 12th this weekend at the Charleston Spring Intersectional in Charleston, S.C. The host College of Charleston won the event with 115 points.
In the B division, junior J.B. Turney (Winnetka, Ill./Lake Forest Academy) and sophomore Liz Rapp (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) posted a seventh place finish with 98 points over the 12 races. The duo had four top-fove finishes, including finishing second in the 10th race.
The Hoyas were 14th in the A division, as sophomore Zach Kavanaugh (Dartmouth, Mass./Darthmouth) and freshman Maddi Maguire (Amherst, Mass./Amherst) totaled 151 points.
Georgetown returns to the water on Saturday, February 25 for the Washington College Team Race, the St. Mary's Quad Invitational and the Bob Bavier Team Race.
