Washington, D.C. -- The Georgetown University women's basketball team (8-12, 1-8 BE) hosts Seton Hall (6-14, 3-6 BE) Saturday afternoon in a BIG EAST contest that tips off at 3 p.m. in McDonough Arena. The game can been seen and heard on www.guhoyas.com with Mike Vaillancourt calling the action. The Hoyas are coming off a 79-62 loss Pittsburgh on Wednesday night.
The Series...
Seton Hall leads the all-time series 27-18 and the Pirates have won each of the last four meetings. The Hoyas have lost four straight home games to SHU.
Playoff Implications...
The Hoyas remaining schedule looks favorable with regards to locking up a spot in the BIG EAST Tournament. Of Georgetown's seven remaining games, three come against teams in the bottom half of the current BIG EAST standings. Twelve of the 16 teams earn a spot in the BIG EAST Tournament held in Hartford, Conn. March 4-7. The Hoyas still have meetings with Seton Hall, Syracuse and Villanova.

---Sophomore point guard Kristin Heidloff (Chicago, Ill./Fenwick) ranks fourth in the BIG EAST with 4.3 assists per game. Heidloff has scored in double-figures in three straight games and in four of the last five games. The Chicago, Ill. native notched her first career double-double with 13 points and career-high 11 assists in the win over American. Heidloff's 11 assists is the third best output by a BIG EAST player this season. The last time a Hoya dished out double-figure dimes was Nov. 11, 2004 when Mary Lisicky did it in a win over Delaware. Heidloff had already led the team in assists on eleven occasions this year after accomplishing the feat ten times all of last season. Heidloff made 7-14 three pointers last week and averaged 16.0 points. The Chicago native matched a season-high with 17 points vs. No. 10 Rutgers and matched a career-high with four treys while also knocking down four treys last time out at Pittsburgh.
---Freshman Nikki Bozeman (District Heights, Md./Bishop McNamara) has started in each of the last two games. The District Heights, Md. native is averaging 2.6 points and is shooting 42 percent from the floor in 19 minutes per game. Bozeman played her prep ball at Bishop McNamara High, which was receiving votes in the latest USA Today poll. ---After scoring in double figures in two of the first six games, freshman Katrina Wheeler (Washington, D.C./T. Roosevelt) has scored in double figures in five of the last 11 games. Wheeler was named BIG EAST Rookie of the Week on January 3 after averaging 14.5 points and 10.5 rebounds in victories over Florida Atlantic and Clemson. The 6-4 McDonald's All-American averages 9.4 points and ranks eighth in the BIG EAST with 8.2 rebounds. Wheeler is tied for fourth in the BIG EAST with six season double-doubles.
---Sophomore forward Kieraah Marlow (Coatesville,Pa./Coatesville) has tallied 20 or more points in five of the last 11 games (7 this season) and notched three straight 20+ point efforts from December 28-January 4, the longest such stretch of her career. Marlow, who was named to the All-BIG EAST Rookie Team a year ago, ranks seventh in the BIG EAST with 16.3 points per game and while ranking 12th in the league, shooting 44.3 percent from the floor.
---Senior Bethany LeSueur (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) ranks second on the team, averaging 12.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists. After transferring to the Hilltop after spending her freshman year at the University of Virginia, the Garden City, N.Y. native is now just the seventh player in Georgetown women's basketball history to surpass the 800-point, 200-assist and 400-rebound milestones. LeSueur set new career-highs with 24 points and ten free throws in the victory over Providence and LeSueur recorded her second double-double of the season (5th of her career) with 19 points and 11 rebounds vs Notre Dame.
---Georgetown has trailed at halftime in all eight of the BIG EAST losses with their lone halftime advantage coming in the win over Providence.
---GU is 7-0 when leading at halftime and the Hoyas have made 79% of their free throws in the last five minutes of games (79-100). As the team, Georgetown ranks third in the BIG EAST, shooting 72 percent from the stripe.
---The Hoyas have made at least ten free throws in ten of the last 11 games and connected on 79 percent of their foul shots during the stretch. The Hoyas had made at least ten free throws in seven straight games before GU tallied 9-13 foul shots vs Notre Dame. In the last 11 games, Georgetown has knocked down 187-238 from the stripe (79%) while their opponents have attempted just 158.
