  • Georgetown is 2-4 all-time versus Missouri Valley schools with the win today.
  • The Hoyas have 23 NCAA Tournament appearances and have lost in the first round just twice.
  • With the win, Georgetown is now 8-16 when trailing at halftime this season.
  • Brandon Bowman scored six points today and is only one point shy of tying Allen Iverson for 12th place on the Georgetown all-time scoring list. Iverson had 1,539 career points.
  • Head coach John Thompson III has now guided three of five NCAA Tournament teams to the second round. Previous two were with Princeton.

Northern Iowa Notes

  • This marks the third-straight season UNI has made it to the NCAA Tournament. It fell to Wisconsin last season in the first round, 57-52.
  • With the loss today, UNI is 16-2 when leading at halftime on the season.
  • Northern Iowa is now 0-4 against teams currently in the BIG EAST in its history.
  • John Little sets new career high in three pointers made in a game with five.
  • Northern Iowa finishes the season with 23 wins on the season which is tied for the most in school history.
  • This is Northern Iowa's second trip to UD Arena. The Panthers fell to Dayton 88-83 in 1987-88.
  • 19 points in the second half was lowest output of the season for either half. Previous low was 20 three times.
  • This was only the fourth time this season UNI has scored under 50 points.
