Ground Under Repair

The ole' double-whammy put this blog on the sidelines this week. First, the power board on my computer shorted out and went in for repairs. Then, a massive rearrangement of offices in McDonough boxed up all my work until next week. Thanks to all readers for your patience. VFTH should be up and running again early next week.

My picks for most interesting contests this week:

> Women's Lacrosse: On Friday, the #4-ranked Hoyas (6-1) host #5-ranked North Carolina (7-2) at 3:45 pm at the Yard.

> Men's Lacrosse: The #5-ranked Hoyas (6-1) will visit Annapolis and the 8th-ranked Navy Midshipmen (7-1) on Saturday at noon at the Navy-Marine Corps Stadium. At stake is the Boyle Cup, named for lacrosse official Scotty Boyle who collapsed and died during the GU-Navy lacrosse contest one year ago.

Last week, the Hoya athletic teams posted an overall win-loss record of 6-10 and earned a 3rd, two 5ths, and a 20th place finishes in standings competition.
