Washington, D.C. - The Georgetown women's crew team participated in the 2006 Knecht Cup on Saturday and Sunday on the Cooper River in Camden, N.J.

The Hoyas qualified for three finals over the weekend. Their best finish came in the varsity four, as Georgetown placed third with a time of 8:21.00, trailing Penn State (8:07.30) and Villanova (8:12.00).

The Hoyas also finished fourth in the finals of the lightweight eight and the freshmen lightweight eight. In the lightweight eight, Georgetown crossed in 7:30.10, while the novice boat posted a time of 8:08.10.

The Georgetown women's heavyweight team returns to the water next weekend for the George Washington-Class of 1998 Cup.
