Goals Unlimited welcomed back all Hoya soccer supporters and recognized the 1997 Georgetown team that won the program's only NCAA Tournament game.

Following Georgetown's 2-0 win over Pittsburgh in the afternoon, more than 100 Georgetown alumni, parents and friends of the program joined the current Hoya squad and second-year head coach Brian Wiese for an evening meal and trip down memory lane.

Wiese spoke briefly about the state of the 2007 team and its hopes of advancing in the BIG EAST Tournament. Former Georgetown head coach Keith Tabatznik, the program's all-time winniningest coach, spoke about his fond feelings for the 1997 team that posted the school's second-best win total (15) and a program-best 9-2 record in BIG EAST action.

Former GU players, Tom Greaser (B'98) described some funny moments about the '97 team to the laughter of the crowd and 1997 team co-captain and Goals Unlimited President Den Helfrich (B'98) thanked the group for its continued support of the program.
