Be advised of the following road closures will be initiated by the United States Park Police and the District of Columbia for the Veterans Day parade on Saturday, November 10, 2007. All closures will remain in effect until the parade clears the route. Plan ahead: take public transportation instead of driving to the parade.

Roads closed at 6 am:

* Jefferson Drive from 14th Street to 4th Street, SW

* Madison Drive from 4th Street to 15th Street, NW

* Seventh Street from Independence Avenue to Constitution Avenue, NW

Roads closed at 10:30 am:

* Lincoln Memorial Circle to Henry Bacon Drive

* Constitution Avenue from Pennsylvania Avenue to 23rd Street, NW

* 15th Street from Independence Avenue to Constitution Avenue

* 17th Street from Independence Avenue to Constitution Avenue

* Virginia Avenue from E Street to Constitution Avenue

* 19th Street at E Street, NW (No traffic south)

* 18th Street at C Street, NW (No traffic west)

* No traffic in northbound Third Street Tunnel

* No traffic North from Independence Ave from the following streets: 7th, 9th, 12th, & 14th

Roadways slated to reopen by 5 pm.
