Washington, D.C. - The Georgetown men's tennis team defeated Mount St. Mary's, 7-0, today at McDonough Tennis Complex. The Hoyas won all nine matches (3 doubles, 6 singles) for the clean sweep and improve to 9-6 on the year.

In doubles action, the Blue and Gray allowed the Mount just four games in two matches for the doubles point. Mount St. Mary's defaulted the third doubles flight.

With the doubles point under their belt and an automatic point by default at the sixth singles position, Georgetown had a 2-0 edge over MSM. Sophomore Kenneth Wong (Repulse Bay, Hong Kong/St. Paul's [N.H.]) won a straight-set win at the fifth position and did not even drop a game. Sophomore Adam Gross (Quogue, N.Y./Westhampton) followed suit with his own 6-0, 6-0 victory at the fourth singles flight and clinched the match for the Hoyas. Gross is now tied for the team-lead in match-deciding wins with two.

The Blue and Gray won the rest of the singles matches for the 7-0 sweep.

Georgetown returns to action on Saturday, March 31 for the first of a three-match BIG EAST Conference road swing. The Hoyas travel to Storrs, Conn. for a noon matchup at UConn. The Hoyas are 1-0 in BIG EAST action this season.
