WASHINGTON, D.C. - Metro is expecting delays during Martin Luther King Jr. (Jan 18-21) and President's Day (Feb. 15-18) weekends due to infrastructure renewal work being performed on the Metro Center station on the Red Line.
Verizon Center encourages patrons attending events both weekends to check Metro's website (www.metroopensdoors.com) for more information about delays on the Red Line affecting their travel to and from the arena.
The Georgetown men's basketball team will host Notre Dame on Saturday, January 19, tipping off at noon. The Hoyas will also host Syracuse on Monday, January 21 at 7 p.m.
The Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro stop, which is located at the arena, is also serviced by the Yellow and Green lines. Additional Metro stations nearby the arena on the Yellow and Green lines are the Archives-Navy Memorial Station on 7th and Pennsylvania, and Mount Verizon Square/7th Street Convention Center Station. Additionally, the Judiciary Square Metro station on the Red Line is also located on F Street and will assist those wishing to avoid any delays from the rehabilitation schedule being performed at the Metro Center station.
