Rose Bowl Regatta Results

Washington, D.C. - The Georgetown University sailing team placed fourth overall with 145 points among 28 teams at the 23rd Annual Rose Bowl Regatta this past weekend at Alamitos Bay Yacht Club in Long Beach, California.

The A division tandem of freshmen Charlie Buckingham (Newport Beach, Calif./Newport Harbor) and Ashley Phillips (Charleston, S.C./Ashley Hall) sailed to a fourth place finish with 78 points.

The B Division duo of seniors Blaire Herron (Coronado, Calif./Coronado) and Leigh Fogwell (Greenwich, Conn./Greenwich) finished 3rd with 67 points.

St. Mary's (Md.) finished first with 111 points followed by Boston College (115) and College of Charleston (142).

All participants sailed two-person CFJ dinghies with male, female or coed crews competing equally over the two-day event.
