WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Georgetown University athletics department announced today that all of its men's basketball games will be heard locally on ESPN 980 and its affiliates.

The Hoyas, who were picked seventh in the BIG EAST Preseason Coaches' poll, open the season on Monday, Nov. 17, hosting Jacksonville at Verizon Center. Tipoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. and the game can be heard locally on AM 570, with Rich Chvotkin calling all of the action.

"ESPN 980 is proud to be the home of the Hoyas," Red Zebra Broadcasting Chief Executive Office Bruce Gilbert said. "With John Thompson each day, and every men's basketball game live, we look forward to being the place Hoyas fans come to talk about their team."

Georgetown games will be broadcast on ESPN 980 21 times this season, with six games being aired on AM 570 and one on AM 1260.

A full list of Georgetown's radio dates can be found on the Hoyas athletics website, www.guhoyas.com.
