Ticket Information:
Washington, D.C. - With less than a year left before tip-off, all-session tickets are sold out for the 2008 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship First/Second Rounds to be held at Verizon Center on March 20 and 22.

The event, hosted by Georgetown University, will feature eight teams and six games in two days of competition. Four first round games will be played on Thursday, March 20, with the winners advancing to the second round for games on Saturday, March 22. The second round winners will advance to Charlotte, N.C., Phoenix, Ariz., Detroit, Mich. or Houston, Texas for NCAA Regional play the following week.

Per NCAA policy, applications for tickets to the event were accepted until May 1. At that time, ticket sales closed and all applications were submitted into a random-selection process. By June 1, Georgetown University will notify all ticket applicants whether they were successful in acquiring tickets to the championship. Applicants who were unsuccessful in obtaining tickets through the application process will be provided the opportunity to keep their application active and remain on a waiting list should tickets become available or have their order refunded less the ticket application service charge of $5.00 per ticket.

For those fans unsuccessful in acquiring tickets, the NCAA will conduct an open practice day, showcasing all eight teams at the Washington, D.C. site, on Wednesday, March 19, 2008. There is no cost to attend open practice day.
