WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Georgetown men's tennis team won its third consecutive match , defeating Boston College, 4-3 on Sunday at McDonough Tennis Complex. Junior Adam Gross (Quogue, N.Y./Westhampton) defeated Brendon Wong, 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 in the No. 5 singles match to clinch the win for the Hoyas.
After dropping the team doubles point, GU picked up the first two singles matches, as sophomore David Tillem (Atlanta, Ga./The Weber School) defeated Alex Rastorgouev in straight sets, 6-4, 6-1 and senior Ted Tywang (Nashville, Tenn./Montgomery Bell Academy) defeated Michael Vann, 6-1, 6-2.
Senior Jeffrey Schnell (Short Hills, N.J./Millburn) defeated Thomas Nolan, 7-6(1), 6-4 in the top singles match, before Gross clinched the match for the Hoyas in the sixth singles match.
For the Hoyas, it was the second consecutive match they have clinched in the final match. GU is now 5-10 on the season.
