PISCATAWAY, N.J. - PISCATAWAY, N.J.- The Georgetown women's tennis team was not able to hang with BIG EAST Conference-rival Rutgers University on Saturday afternoon, as the Scarlet Knights defeated the Hoyas, 7-0.
While the Hoyas were swept in singles play, senior Stephanie Cohen (Fayetteville, N.Y./DeWitt) and freshman Alex Sebia (Plains, Pa./Scranton Prep) each won sets against their opposition.
The Scarlet Knights swept through the Hoyas in doubles play, defeating Elizabeth Sullivan and Stephanie Cohen, 8-2, dropping Caroline Kuehn and Alex Sebia, 8-1 and beating Courtney Olsen and Maxi Thiels, 8-1.
The Hoyas return to action against BIG EAST Conference rival Villanova on April 4 at the McDonough Tennis Complex.
