Hoyas Unlimited Releases First-Ever Parent Handbook

Nov. 21, 2009

2009-10 Parents Handbook

Dear Hoya Parent,

Welcome to the 2009-2010 Georgetown Athletics season! We hope this year will be an exciting one for you and your family. We also hope you enjoy our first-ever Parent Handbook, which is meant to introduce you to the Athletics program, the University and one of the most special neighborhoods of the city of Washington, DC - the community of Georgetown.

Our organization, Hoyas Unlimited, provides support for all 29 sports on campus. It is our goal to provide communication, community-building, and fundraising to the Athletics program. This past year, over 6,000 people attended our events, and we sent out over 550 electronic communications to our devoted followers. We also raised $4.4 million, a record-breaking year.

What makes the Hoyas Unlimited and Georgetown Athletics community so special are people like you. The tireless support, unwavering dedication and the steadfast pride you have in your child makes our athletic community that much stronger. We hope our efforts to compile this handbook make your family's athletic and academic experience that much easier, and is a helpful tool for you to use in the coming months.

If you have interest in supporting the Athletics program through either volunteer support or other avenues, please do not hesitate to call me at (202) 687-6308.

Let's have a great year and Hoya Saxa!

All the best,

Bill Johnson
Director of Hoyas Unlimited Georgetown Athletics
