Washington, D.C. - The Georgetown University men's tennis team recently completed play at the annual Georgetown Classic at the McDonough Tennis Complex.
David Tillem beat teammate Bryan Miller 6-0, 7-6 (3), then defeated Chris Brown of Howard, 6-2, 3-6, 6-2, to advance to the finals on Sunday. Tillem dropped the final to GW's Chris Kushma, 7-6 (4), 6-2.
The duo of Andrew Bruhn and Charlie Caris defeated Kushma and Ken Mkrtchian of GW, 8-6 and advanced to the semifinals of the doubles bracket.
The team returns to action in two weeks at the Bruno Classic at Brown University in Providence, R.I.
