LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Georgetown University men's and women's diving teams concluded competition at the BIG EAST Diving Championships on Saturday, as the men's team finished tied for sixth place out of 11 teams, while the women's team finished seventh out of 11 teams.
Brian McCallister finished in 19th place on the one-meter diving trials with a score of 177.60 and 13th in the three-meter diving trials with a score of 232.75. McCallister went on to finish in 16th place in the three-meter diving consolation finals with 219.35.
On the women's side, Caitlin Karniski finished 27th with 194.15 points and Angela Pontes finished in 31st with 167.25 points in the one-meter diving trials. In the three-meter diving trials Karniski placed 16th, scoring 225.65, while Pontes finished 30th with 148.20. In the consolation finals, Karniski finished 11th with a total of 243.05 points.
The Georgetown men's and women's swimming teams will begin competition in Louisville, Ky. for the BIG EAST Swimming Championships on Wednesday, February 16.
