Results

WASHINGTON - Sophomore Tina Tehrani (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan) and junior Vicky Sekely (Mississaga, Ontario/Lorne Park Secondary School) both won on the final day of the University of North Carolina Wilmington Fall Invitational. It was a solid start for the Blue & Gray which is looking to build upon last year's success.

In the singles A flight, Tehrani defeated Lauren Kline from Furman University 6-4, 6-1 to win the championship. She won two matches on Friday and two on Saturday to go 5-0 on the weekend in singles play.

In the B flight, Sekely downed Alex Moreno 6-2, 6-3 to take the title. She went 5-0 on the weekend with all five victories coming over opponents from Furman.

Next weekend, the Blue & Gray will host the Georgetown Classic at the McDonough Outdoor Tennis Complex. Play will begin on Friday.
