WASHINGTON -

The Georgetown University sailing team continued the spring season at the College of Charleston Spring Invitational Regatta in Charleston, S.C., on February 18-19. The Blue & Gray finished third overall.

The event on the Cooper River featured national competition including Stanford and College of Charleston.

The Hoyas finished third overall and third in both A and B divisions. In the A division, Alex Post (Chicago, Ill./Loyola Academy) and Annalee Leggett (Manchester, Mass./Phillips Academy Andover) finished with 74 points for third place. Nancy Hagood (Charleston, S.C./Ashley Hall) and Katia DaSilva (East Greenwich, R.I./Moses Brown) earned 50 points for a third-place finish in the B division.

Georgetown sailing will be back in action next weekend at the Bob Bavier Team Race held at the College of Charleston and the Tom Noble Team Race at Washington College.
