Georgetown Notes
• Georgetown concluded the season at 26-7 overall.
• This was Georgetown's 29th NCAA Tournament appearance. The Hoyas are 46-28 all-time, including a 8-6 record under head coach John Thompson III.
• Tonight's game marked the first meeting with Florida Gulf Coast. It was also Georgetown's first loss to a team from the Atlantic Sun Conference (12-1).
• This was the second time in four years that Georgetown, as a top 3 seed, has been upset. The No. 3 seeded Hoyas lost to #13 seed Ohio, 97-87, in the opening round in 2009-10.
• Georgetown had three players in double-digit scoring: Markel Starks (23), Otter Potter, Jr. (13), and Jabril Trawick (11).
• Otter Potter, Jr., finished with a double-double (13 pts, 11 reb.), his seventh double-double on the year. It was his 19th consecutive game in double figures and his 28th game overall.
• Markel Starks had double figures for the fifth consecutive game and 21st time this season.
• Florida Gulf Coast became just the eighth team to score 60 points against Georgetown this season.

• Florida Gulf Coast (25-10) wins its NCAA Tournament debut and will face the winner of No. 7 seed San Diego State and No. 10 seed Oklahoma on Sunday.
• FGCU is only the seventh No. 15 seed to defeat a No. 2 seed. The win marks the first time in NCAA history that No. 15 seeds have defeated No. 2 seeds in consecutive tournaments (Lehigh, Norfolk State in 2012).

• FGCU led by as many as 19 points in the second half (52-33).
• FGCU electrified the crowd with several thunderous second-half dunks. For the season, the Eagles have 139 dunks, with Chase Fieler leading the way (59.) He finished the game with three dunks, including a one-handed alley-oop slam with 1:54 remaining to play.
• FGCU went on a 21-2 run between the 17:27 and 12:30 mark of the second half to go ahead 52-33.
• FGCU's win gives the Atlantic Sun Conference its first NCAA Tournament win since No. 11 seed Georgia State defeated No. 6 Wisconsin in 2001. Overall, it is just the Atlantic Sun's third NCAA Tournament win since 1981.
• FGCU has now won six consecutive games and 13 of its last 15 games.
• FGCU has not trailed in the second half of its last four games.
• Five different Eagles scored at least nine points, led by Sherwood Brown's game-best 24 points. Bernard Thompson added 23 points.
• With his nine rebounds, Brown became FGCU's all-time leading rebounder.
• FGCU's 10-point win is the second largest margin of victory for a No. 15 seed over a No. 2 seed (Coppin State over South Carolina in 1997).
• FGCU is 3-0 in neutral court games.
• This is FGCU's second victory over a Big East team; it defeated DePaul on Dec. 22, 2009.
• The win is head coach Andy Enfield's 40th at FGCU; the program had a combined 39 wins in its first four years of Division I.
• The Eagles led the Hoyas 24-22 at the half, marking the 21st straight time FGCU has held a haftime lead.
• The Eagles held Big East Player of the Year Otto Porter to just 13 points on 5-of-17 shooting.
• FGCU is just the eighth team to score at least 60 points against Georgetown.
