WASHINGTON - Georgetown University women's basketball freshman guard Dorothy Adomako (Midlothian, Va./Cosby) was named the BIG EAST Rookie of the Week on Monday for the second-consecutive week after a 1-1 week for the Hoyas (4-13, 2-3 BIG EAST).

Adomako continued to prove her BIG EAST Preseason Freshman of the Year nod was no fluke with another solid weekend of play. The Georgetown rookie averaged 12.0 ppg, 6.0 rpg and 2.5 spg while shooting over 40.0 percent, leading the Hoyas to a 1-1 mark.

Adomako has flourished in conference play, ranking fifth in the BIG EAST in scoring (16.2) and sixth in rebounding (7.8), with both figures the best among the freshman class. She also leads the conference in overall double-doubles with 6.0 for the season and second among freshmen for double-doubles in the nation.

This is Adomako's third-career rookie of the week honor after earning the award on Nov. 17 and last Monday.
