WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's and women's swimming & diving team will host Towson University at McCarthy Pool on Saturday, October 17, beginning at 1 p.m during Family Weekend on campus.

The Hoyas return to dual-meet action for the first time since racing Delaware and Saint Francis (Pa.) on Saturday, October 3. The Blue & Gray scrimmaged at Princeton last week, before beginning its four-meet home schedule on Saturday.

LAST TIME OUT: GU opened its dual-meet schedule at Delaware, as the women defeated Saint Francis (Pa.), 209-82, and fell to Delaware, 190-109, while the men fell to the Blue Hens, 180-118 at Rawstrom Natatorium. Freshman Jacob Kohlhoff (Tega Clay, N.C./Fort Mill) took second place in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:44.21, while also finishing second in the men's 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:47.35. Freshman Laine Morgan (Miami, Fla./Ransom Everglades) had a strong first collegiate dual meet, earning a second-place finish in the women's 100-yard backstroke with a time of 58.88. She also earned a second-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 53.10, before winning the 100-yard butterfly in 59.00 in the meet's 25th event.

VS. TOWSON: Last season the Hoya women fell to Towson, 231-69, while the men fell, 221-75, at Burdick Pool on the campus of Towson University. Bailey Page (Brentwood, Tenn./Ravenwood) earned a second place finish in the 200-yard freestyle and a fifth -place finish in the 100-yard freestyle, while Jared Cooper-Vespa (Orange, Conn./The Hopkins School) won the one-meter and three-meter diving competitions, breaking a program record in the three-meter dive.
