WASHINGTON - Georgetown University men's basketball player Bradley Hayes (Jacksonville, Fla./Sandalwood) was selected to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after helping lead the Hoyas to a pair of wins last week.

The Hoyas, who beat Brown 74-57 on Monday night, have won four-straight games, and five of the last six overall, to improve to 5-3 this season.

Hayes averaged 16.0 points and 8.5 rebounds, while shooting 57.9 percent from the floor (11-of-19) and 71.4 percent from the free throw line (10-of-14) during wins over UMES and Syracuse. He had 11 points and nine rebounds in a 68-49 win over UMES last Tuesday and then followed that up with a 21-point, nine-rebound effort as Georgetown beat then-No. 14 Syracuse, 79-72, at Verizon Center on Saturday.

The senior center followed that up with 12 points and 11 rebounds in a 74-57 win over Brown on Monday night, his second double-double this season.

Overall this season, Hayes ranks third on the team in scoring with 11.9 points per game and leads the team with 6.9 rebounds per game. He ranks 14th in the BIG EAST in rebounding and is tied for eighth in field goal percentage, connecting on 58.85 percent of his shots from the floor (38-of-65).

Georgetown is back in action on Saturday, Dec. 12, hosting UNC Wilmington at Verizon Center as part of the BB&T Classic. The game will be shown live on CBS Sports Network, with Ben Holden calling the play-by-play and Alaa Abdelnaby serving as the color analyst. It can be heard locally on 106.7 FM The Fan.
