Nov. 20, 2016 WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's basketball team added two games to the television lineup last week. Two contests will now be available regionally on MASN 2 as well as the BIG EAST Digital Network (BEDN) as previously scheduled. This brings Georgetown’s total number of television broadcasts to five. All remaining conference games will be streamed live on BEDN.
Fans can watch the Hoyas on MASN 2 on Dec. 30 as the squad hosts the Marquette Golden Eagles at 2 p.m. ET. GU will also be on MASN 2 on Feb. 17 when the Blue & Gray hosts Butler at 7 p.m. ET.
Five BIG EAST women’s basketball games have been elevated from BIG EAST Digital Network (BEDN) coverage to FOX Sports Regional Networks (FSN). The Conference unveiled its original television slate back in September, with Thursday’s additions bumping the total to 22 regular-season matchups, including 15 on FS1 and FS2 and two on CBS Sports Network. Home market networks for the above-mentioned games are MASN 2 (Georgetown), FOX Sports Wisconsin (Marquette) and FOX Sports Indiana (Butler). Any additional clearances will be determined at a later date.
The Hoyas will also appear on FS1 three times as previously announced. Fans can watch the nationally-televised matchups on Jan. 13 against St. John’s at 7 p.m., on Jan. 20 at Xavier at 8 p.m., and in the conference finale on Feb. 26 at DePaul at 1 p.m. ET. In addition to the 22 televised games, the BIG EAST Digital Network will continue to provide coverage of all non-televised regular-season conference tilts, accounting for 68 matchups. BEDN, launched in September 2014, is its own dedicated section within FOX Sports GO, the mobile app that provides live streaming video of FOX Sports content at home or on-the-go.
The Hoyas are on the road and in the midst of a seven-game road trip. Georgetown will play at Florida International University on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
