Feb. 13, 2016 WASHINGTON - Georgetown University senior center Bradley Hayes (Jacksonville, Fla./Sandalwood) will be sidelined indefinitely after breaking his left hand in practice on Thursday.
"It is a blow to our team, but I'm very disappointed for Bradley because of the hard work he has put in over the last four years to put himself in a position to have a good senior year," Head Men's Basketball Coach John Thompson III announced said. "He had successful surgery today and we expect him to fully recover but we are not sure when he will return."
Hayes is fourth on the team in scoring with 8.5 points per game and leads the team in rebounding (6.8 rpg) and field goal percentage, connecting on 53.9 percent of his shots (89-of-165). He ranks 13th in the BIG EAST Conference in rebounds and 11th in field goal percentage.
