Cole Berman and Harrison Rhoades Named PING Division I All-Northeast Region

June 6, 2016

WASHINGTON - Sophomore Cole Berman (Philadelphia, Pa./The Haverford School) and freshman Harrison Rhoades (Raleigh, N.C./Needham Broughton) of the Georgetown University men's golf team have been selected to the PING Division I All-Northeast Region team when the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced its selections.

A total of 156 players were selected across six regions, with 25 selected from the northeast. Berman earned his second-consecutive selection to the All-Northeast team, while Rhoades became the second Hoya freshman in two years to earn the distinction. Both Berman and Rhoades were selected to the All-BIG EAST team in late April.

Berman finished third in the BIG EAST with a 72.93 average score per round over 29 rounds during the 2015-16 season. He tied for third at the BIG EAST Championship, helping the Hoyas to a 27-stroke victory to advance to the NCAA Regionals for the first time since 2010. Berman finished 1-over par, tied for 45th, at the 2016 NCAA Franklin Regional.

Rhoades tied with Berman for third in the BIG EAST and led all conference freshmen with a 72.93 average score per round in 29 rounds. He tied for fifth at the BIG EAST Championships, before turning in a 2-over par performance at the 2016 NCAA Franklin Regional. Rhoades was named the BIG EAST Player of the Month for September, his first month of collegiate golf with top 10 performances in the Navy Fall Classic and the Windon Memorial Classic.
