WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University Softball Head Coach Pat Conlan was inducted into the Holy Cross High School's 2017 Crusader Hall of Fame on November 30 in Waterbury, Conn. Conlan ('89) attended her alma mater's second annual Crusade Hall of Honor, which inducted nine of its most beloved school members into the prestigious group. The recipients were recognized for their achievements and contributions to Holy Cross and/or their local communities.
Conlan also was awarded The Crusader Award, which honors an alumnus/a who distinguished themselves during their time at Holy Cross.
The Blue & Gray's softball head coach excelled as a student-athlete while at Holy Cross. She was a member of the volleyball, basketball and softball teams and served as a senior captain for the basketball and softball teams. During her senior year, Conlan led her team to win the Class LL State Championship in softball. She was also involved in Peer Ministry, Ophelia, Fine Arts, S.A.D.D. and Student Council.
Conlan attended The University of Connecticut as a softball player and in 1993, she earned All American, named BIG EAST Pitcher of the Year, First Team All-BIG EAST, All-New England, All-ECAC and All-Northeast.
Conlan is entering her 13th season as the Georgetown softball head coach and her 23rd year overall of coaching the collegiate level. She transformed the club team at Georgetown into a Divison I program in 2006, serving as the program's first and only head coach.
