WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University softball team's home opener doubleheader scheduled for Wednesday at the Washington Nationals Youth Academy against Rider has been cancelled due to impending weather in the Washington, D.C. area. The home opener for the Blue & Gray will now take place on Saturday, March 25 when the Hoyas open up BIG EAST Conference play against Creighton.

The Hoyas will return to action on Friday, March 17 for a doubleheader against St. Bonaventure and Umass-Lowell. These games will be part of the Lafayette Ford Lincoln of Fayetteville Showcase, hosted by UNC-Wilmington.
