April 9, 2017 WASHINGTON - Georgetown University's men's rowing heavyweight first varsity 8+ won both of its events at the GW Invite on Saturday afternoon on the Potomac River. The Hoyas lightweight squad was edged by Yale in a trio of races but swept MIT in weekend action.
Heavyweights
After being rained out last weekend against Drexel and Saint Joseph's in Philadelphia, Pa., the heavyweight squad saw the first day of action at the GW Invite postponed on Friday because of poor racing conditions on the Potomac.
