WASHINGTON– The Georgetown University men's tennis team traveled to Richmond and Baltimore to compete in the Spider Invitational and the Morgan State Fall Invitational last weekend.

Charlie Sharton (Wayland, Mass. / Wayland) and senior
Will Sharton (Wayland, Mass. / Wayland) all competed in the Spider Invitational with various results.
In the opening day, the doubles pair of Rozanov and Militzer won two matches, 7-6 against Eastern Carolina University and 7-5 against Howard University. They went on to drop the final match against Virginia Commonwealth University, 7-5.

Will Sharton all won consolation singles matches. Notably,
Will Sharton defeated Navy in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1.
In the Morgan State Invitational, the Hoyas competed against three schools in a 4+1 format. In the opening day, the Hoyas swept Loyola, 5-0. Mike Chen (Holmdel, N.J. / Holmdel),
Luke Ross (Sewickley, Pa. / Sewickley Academy),
Justin Cheun (Fairfax, Va. / Seoul International School) and
Cesar Cernuda (Madrid, Spain / ES International School) all had strong showings, winning their singles matches in straight sets.
Rohan Kamdar (Singapore / Anglo Chinese School) and
Connor Lee (San Marino, Calif. / San Marino) bested the Greyhounds in doubles, 6-1, 6-2.
GU continued to dominate with two more team wins, including a victory over the host school, Morgan State, 4-1. Against the Bears, the squad dropped the doubles match but picked up four singles wins for a perfect singles record for the weekend.
The Hoyas will be back in action on Friday, Oct. 12 as they compete in the Navy Invitational. The three-day event will take place in Annapolis, Maryland.
