WASHINGTON – The No. 4 Georgetown women's soccer team (13-0-2, 6-0 BIG EAST) will travel to Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Thursday to take on the Marquette Golden Eagles (3-10-2, 1-4-1 BIG EAST) in a BIG EAST Conference matchup. Kickoff is slated for 8 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast live on the BIG EAST Digital Network (BEDN) with Patrick Reed calling the action and live stats will be available at www.GUHoyas.com.

Caitlin Farrell (Wallingford, Conn. / Choate Rosemary Hall) scored the game-winning goal in the 83rd minute, her 14th goal and fifth game winner of the season.

Jenna Staudt (Bingham Farms, Mich. / Detroit Country Day) was named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week and Farrell was named to the Weekly Honor Roll, Farrell's fifth-straight week being recognized by the league. The Hoyas have sat in the No. 4 position in the national rankings for the past two weeks and have been ranked in the top 10 for the past seven weeks. They started the season at No. 22.
Farrell leads the squad with 29 points from 14 goals and an assist and is on a nine-game scoring streak. Carusa follows with 19 points off of six goals and seven assists. Senior goalkeeper
Arielle Schechtman (Del Mar, Calif. / La Jolla Country Day / UCLA) leads the nation in save percentage (.948), GAA (.223) and shutouts this season (10). Farrell is third in the country in total goals (14) and goals per game (.930), fifth in game-winning goals (5), eighth in total points (29) and ninth in shots on goal per game (2.67). As a team, the Blue & Gray sits second in the NCAA in win-loss-tie percentage (.933) and save percentage (.928), third in GAA (.321) and sixth in shutout percentage (.667).
The Hoyas currently lead the BIG EAST Conference standings, going 6-0 in league matches. Georgetown ranks first in the league in multiple categories, including shots (252), points (93), goals (34), goals per game (2.27), assists (25), assists per game (1.67), goals allowed (5), GAA (.32), shutouts (10), and corners (111). Farrell ranks first in several individual categories, including shots (69), shots per game (4.60), points (29), points per game (1.93), goals (14), goals per game (.93) and game-winning goals (5). Carusa leads the league in assists (7) and assists per game (.47). Additionally, Schechtman ranks first in the BIG EAST in GAA (.22), save percentage (.948) and shutouts this season (10).
The Golden Eagles are coming off of a 3-0 loss to Xavier on Sunday in Cincinnati, Ohio. The squad's lone conference win comes from a 1-0 shutout over St. John's on Sept. 30 with a late goal from freshman Alyssa Bombacino. The freshman leads Marquette with six points off of three goals this season. Junior Maddy Henry has started all 15 games this season as goalkeeper. She registers a 1.63 GAA, 83 saves and a 7.69 save percentage.
The game on Thursday will be the 11th meeting between the Hoyas and the Golden Eagles, with GU leading the all-time series, 6-3-1. The Hoyas shut out Marquette twice during the 2017 campaign, including a 4-0 clean sheet in the BIG EAST semifinals and a 3-0 shutout during the regular season.
