WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's cross country team finished in third-place overall out of a 24-team field at the 2018 NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals in State College, Pennsylvania on Friday while the women's squad turned in a seventh-place finish out of 30 teams. The women tallied a total score of 236 points and the men, coming off a BIG EAST title two weeks ago, finished with a score of 97 points behind No. 25-ranked Princeton (61) and BIG EAST rival Villanova (73).

Nick Wareham (Woodbury, Minn. / Woodbury) posted another impressive performance as the low stick for the Hoyas with a second-place finish in the men's 10-kilometer race with a time of 31:08.
Jack Van Scoter (Pasadena, Calif. / Flintridge Prep) followed close behind finishing in sixth place with a time of 31:14. Overall, four runners for the Blue & Gray finished in the top 20, including
Matthew Bouthillette (North Providence, R.I. / La Salle Academy) and
Jack Salisbury (Rumford, R.I. / La Salle Academy) who both managed to come within 35-seconds of the top 5.
Rusty Kujdych (Feasterville Trevose, Pa. / Neshaminy) completed the scoring for Georgetown with a 55th-place finish clocking a time of 32:40.

Paige Hofstad (New Braunfels, Texas / New Braunfels) battled through the cold and wet conditions to place 16th overall for the women's squad posting a time of 21:37 over the 6-kilometer course. Junior
Margie Cullen (Needham, Mass. / Needham) finished 26th just 12 seconds behind Hofstad with a time of 21:49. The freshman duo of
Sami Corman (Bellevue, Wash. / Issaquah) and
Katie Dammer (Clarks Summit, Pa. / Abington Heights) closed out their first cross country season for the Blue & Gray placing 49th and 62nd, respectively.
Meg Mathison (Middleton, Wis. / Waunakee) also chipped in points coming in 83rd overall.
