WASHINGTON – Georgetown track & field finished competition at the Raleigh Relays this weekend on the campus of NC State University.
Birhanu Harriman captured the individual win in the men's 10,000m with a time of 28:24.74, while
Ida Moczerniuk and
Luke Johnson etched their names into GU's record books.
Georgetown Men
10,000m: Harriman's 28:24.74 time was good enough to secure the win in a field of more than 95 runners and ranks first nationally.
5,000m: Johnson took seventh after clocking the seventh-fastest finish in program history with a time of 13:40.50, while
Alazar Teffra finished 17th in heat six with a time of 14:35.69. Johnson's mark is the eighth fastest in the country and the top time in the conference.
400m Hurdles: Nicholas Givan captured sixth place with a time of 52.51 for the top mark in the conference.
400m Final: Micah McKenzie ran a personal-best time of 48.49 for a 48th place finish.
4x400: The team consisting of McKenzie, Givan,
Alex Lambert and
Natanael Vigo Catala placed 12th with a time of 3:14.33.
Georgetown Women
100m: Moczerniuk clocked the second-fastest mark in program history with a time of 11.62 for ninth place among all competitors.
Jadah Fitzgerald was GU's next top finisher in 55th place with a time of 12.12. Mockzerniuk holds the top time in the conference this season, while Fitzgerald's finish sits at fifth.
1,500m: Mary Grace Hegberg ran a personal best time of 4:21.12 for 32nd. Hegberg's time ranks 44th nationally and sixth in the conference.
200m: Moczerniuk placed 46th with a time of 24.82, while
Jadah Fitzgerald took 48th with a time of 24.84. Their times rank fifth and sixth in the conference.
800m: Emma Bennett (28th) was GU's top finisher with a time of 2:09.05.
4x100: GU's squad of Fitzgerald, Moczerniuk,
Mia Coleman and Calabretta finished in 16th with a time of 47.25.
