WASHINGTON – Georgetown track & field will send
Tinoda Matsatsa to the 2026 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Fayetteville, Arkansas to compete in the 800m event on March 13-14.

About Matsatsa
- Matsatsa qualified for the national championships in the 800m with a time of 1:45.12, which he recorded at the Penn State National Open on January 30. His finish ranks as the fourth-fastest in NCAA history and the third-fastest time recorded this season. Additionally, his mark shattered his previous program record of 1:45.21.
- For the second consecutive year, Matsatsa won the 800m event title at the BIG EAST Indoor Championships presented by JEEP. Matsatsa clocked a time of 1:46.76 to secure first place at this year's championships held in Chicago on February 28.
