WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's tennis team squad dropped a 6-1 decision to William & Mary (6-5) on Sunday afternoon in Williamsburg, Virginia. With the loss, the Hoyas fall to 0-5 on the season.
Senior Casey Marx (Mendham, N.J./West Morris Mendham) found victories in both her doubles and singles matches against the Tribe. In doubles, Marx and her partner, junior Risa Nakagawa (Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif./Palos Verdes Peninsula), downed their opponents, Lauren Goodman and Cecily Wuenscher, 6-0.
Marx met Wuenscher again in singles and defeated her, 6-1, 3-6, 1-0.
The Blue & Gray will hit the road to Florida next weekend to face Nova Southeastern in Fort Lauderdale on Sunday, March 4, at noon. On Monday, March 5, the Hoyas will travel to Boca Raton, Florida to take on Florida Atlantic at 9 a.m.
