WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's tennis team was defeated by Marquette on Friday afternoon at Yates Field House, 4-0. With the loss, the Hoyas fall to 3-5 on the season while the Golden Eagles improve to 10-4.
Marquette earned the doubles point, however, junior Michael Chen (Holmdel, N.J./Holmdel) and freshman Rohan Kamdar (Singapore/Anglo Chinese School) swept Luke Smrek and Scott Christian, 6-4.
In singles, the Golden Eagles won the first three matches, while the rest of the matches went unfinished.
The Hoyas will take on Boston University on Saturday in Annapolis, Maryland. The match is set for 5 p.m.
