GU is 4-0-2 on the season and coming off of a 2-0 shutout over longtime rival West Virginia on Sunday, the team's fourth shutout this season. The Hoyas scored a pair of goals, one in each half, to defeat the Mountaineers. Junior

Grace Nguyen (Lilburn, Va. / Parkview). Georgetown sealed the win with 15 minutes left to play when graduate student
Kyra Carusa (San Diego, Calif. / Del Norte / Stanford) found a loose ball in the box and scored unassisted.
Carusa is leading the team with seven points, including three goals and an assist. The forward is followed by senior
Caitlin Farrell (Wallingford, Conn. / Choates Rosemary Hall) with two goals on the season. Junior
Carson Nizialek (Chantilly, Va. / Freedom) leads the Hoyas in the assist category with three. Senior goalkeeper
Arielle Schechtman (Del Mar, Calif. / La Jolla Country Day / UCLA) leads the NCAA Division I active career list in shutouts with 36, ranks second in the nation in goals against average (0.49) and is fifth in the save PCT category (0.963). As a team, the Blue & Gray is among the top 25 in the country in shutout percentage (0.667).
On Monday, Schechtman was named BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week and Nally earned BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week. Georgetown moved into the No. 8 position in the national rankings this week after entering the poll at No. 11 a week prior.
The Patriots are currently on a three-game win streak after their 3-2 victory over James Madison on Thursday evening. Freshman Emma van der Vorst leads the team with three goals and an assist. Morgan Symmers compiled a 4-1 record at goal to go along with a 1.51 GAA and .611 save percentage.
Georgetown is 2-3 all-time against George Mason. The last time the two teams met was during the 2016 campaign at George Mason when the then-No. 20 Hoyas defeated the Patriots, 4-1.
