WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University cross country teams are ready for the fourth race of the 2019 season as they travel to Madison, Wisconsin for the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational, hosted by Wisconsin. On Friday, two groups of women will run in the 6K during the open race at 11 a.m. and the championship race at 12:20 p.m., while two groups of men will run in the 8K during the open race at 11:40 a.m. and the championship race at 1 p.m.
MEN'S PREVIEW
- The men's team is coming off of an 11th-place finish at the Joe Piane Invitational two weeks ago.
- Last year at the Wisconsin Invitational, the men finished in 18th place out of 33 teams.
- The Wisconsin field will feature 19 programs that are ranked in the USTFCCCA National Coaches' Poll.
- The Hoyas will have four runners competing in the open race and seven in the championship race.
- Lineup: Maazin Ahmed, Matthew Bouthillette, Spencer Brown, Ty Brownlow, Tristan Forsythe, Rusty Kujdych, Quinn Nicholson, Price Owens, Jack Van Scoter, Nick Wareham, Shea Weilbaker.
WOMEN'S PREVIEW
- The women's team is coming off of a fifth-place finish at the Paul Short Run two weeks ago.
- Last year at the Wisconsin Invitational, the women finished in 25th place out of 33 teams.
- Georgetown is currently ranked No. 28 in the USTFCCCA National Coaches Poll' and will compete in a field that will feature 19 other ranked programs.
- The Hoyas will have five runners competing in the open race and seven in the championship race.
- Lineup: Alyssa Aldridge, Sami Corman, Margie Cullen, Katie Dammer, Maggie Donahue, Maegan Doody, Baylee Jones, Meg Mathison, Cathilyn McIntosh, Kat Modrall, Madeline Perez, Rachel Sessa.
